Sheldrake for Ukraine Refugees
Year end Message 2023
Our Ukraine families (18) are doing very well, given the physical and emotional trauma. Can you imagine going into a strange country, not knowing anyone, where to live, find clothing, food, doctors, schools, and on and on. Yes, a day-to-day struggle. Sheldrake for Ukraine volunteers have located housing, furniture, etc.
Pray for Peace.
Company mission
Charitable services to provide shelter, substance, transportation assistance for those coming from areas of hostilities.
What we do
We help those fleeing war zones to the United States.
Project: To assist in identifying and planning fund raising projects and community efforts. These will provide continual financial support to meet the monthly obligations for rent, utilities, medical, dental, school, for the refugees in our area of support.
Benefits: Gives the refugees a foothold in their new country, as they struggle to become self sufficient.
Community impact: Adding people who are productive and contributors towards building a better community.
Helpful information for consideration: Presently, as “Humanitarian Parole” legal entrants to USA, they are not permitted to work. In order to be accumulated into the US, the adults are attending evening English classes and weekly occupational training for potential employment. They made applications for status changes from “parole” or “tourist” to obtain properly documented work VISAS. This is the beginning of their journey towards US Citizenship.
Your generosity with the refugee family is exceptional as today’s world is too often a “selfish world”. Especially, unfortunate in the US. Everyone is thankful to you, especially the family as they basically have nothing but those who reach out to help them in a strange country. Can you imagine being in Kyiv and knowing no one and having nothing and needing something? So, you probably don’t realize how much this means to them and to us.
Again, it’s a new year for new things and new happenings.
We believe
All persons seeking shelter from the hostile environment shall be handled as you yourself wish to be treated with honestly, dignity and respect. In turn, clients are to participate and cooperate with the various programs, services and benefits by the US and State governments. Such as the benefits and opportunities provided through USCIS Homeland Security “United for Ukraine”.
Our goal
Working with the USCIS, Homeland Security “United for Ukraine” sponsor Ukraine families and individuals (clients) seeking safety in USA.
What do we want
We seek donations and volunteers to assist in the support of the clients.
We are convinced that
